"Social Media" may have their pros and cons and might even feel antisocial, but we have managed to communicate with many members of the community through applications like Instagram (, and reach out to those who would not have otherwise come across our message, through sponsored posts. 


Sponsored content, while effective, is expensive. In 2021, 17% of our operating expenses were on sponsored social media posts.


One month's spend on sponsored social media posts results in a 7-15% monthly increase in our community activity sign-ups. 


We have increased our cleanup activity sign-ups by 88% in 2021.


Whether community members do join us on the ground or not, maintaining our creative presence on these media helps engage everyone in environmental and social issues.
