Field Trip to Umm Al Quwain

We are lucky to have one of our members, an Umm Al Quwain native, who might himself be able to show us around the Emirate, or particularly the mangrove forest there.

Research also shows that coastal mangroves outperform most other forests in their capacity to store carbon. Weather and time permitting and based on group preference, we can either then visit the beach or participate in kayaking or SUP activities (the cost of these activities is not included): https://www.kitebeachcenter.ae/uaq-mangrove-tours and/ or visit UAQ National Museum - Al Ali Fort which is open from 5-8pm.

To confirm your spot please make your payment of AED 65 per person through wire transfer by 20 December 2020. If you have made your payment and are no longer able to make it, please inform us by 1pm GST on 24 December 2020 to receive a refund. The trip will not go ahead if we are not able to make the cost of group transportation and in this case payments made to confirm a spot will be refunded.

Physical distancing will be maintained on the bus. The trip from our meeting point to UAQ and back should not take more than an hour each way. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with directly for any other questions.
