About the Event
The Plan
- Train to dive.
- Participate in underwater cleanups and coral planting.
- Learn more about the ocean and ocean conservation.
The Objective
We are doing this in order to raise awareness about our role as community members, public and private sector stakeholders, and global citizens in addressing ocean pollution and the need to sustain the health of our oceans. All dates are subject to weather and visibility conditions.
Learning Outcome
1) License to Dive
- International and does not expire (need to dive at least once every 6 months).
- Allows you to rent diving equipment and gear.
2) An introduction to marine life
- Allows you to directly witness the effect of climate change, pollution and overfishing.
- Opens the door to your direct involvement in marine conservation efforts.
3) Team building
- One of the scuba diving safety rules is to never dive alone.

Training
PADI Open Water Course
Time commitment: 4 to 7 days provided the completion of E-learning material.
Location: 7 Emirates
Participation
Refresher, Cleanup
- Limited to 7 participants from FAB per trip.
- Experience level will depend on cleanup location.
Time commitment:
- 3 trips during July, August and September.
- 2 to 4 hours per trip.
